Question: hi just wondering does the acer aspire L3600 come with a DVD burner drive coz we just bought one thought it did but cant seen to get windows media player and windows dvd burner to recognise it

Answer:  Unfortunately Acer is one of the worst brands to deal with.  When I looked at their site they don't even list your model to check the specs.  The best I can say is look at the cover of the Drive and see if it says DVD anywhere on it.  It might only be a DVD player and a CD-RW.  That's the cheapest kind of drive that you usually get these days and that would fit Acer's MO.  Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but Acer Laptops are selling that cheap because their components are cheap and often faulty.  I hope you bought an extended warranty with that one.

Good luck,

  2. Hi snigda,
If you recently purchased the laptop it should still be under warranty and you can contact Acer directly to get help with it. They have an email support form at...

Your problem could be either software or hardware related and it could be virus or spyware related. It might even be an update from Microsoft causing the trouble. They should be able to tell if it's hardware related pretty quickly.
