Question: Why is my itunes telling me that quicktime failed to initialize (error 2096) and quicktime tells me could not load or find the quicktime active x control?

Answer: You need to first try removing and reinstalling Quicktime from a fresh download on the apple website. If that doesn't work try removing both iTunes and Quicktime and downloading new versions. If that doesn't work try installing an older version from a site called oldapps (look it up on google). Still not working, I offer online support and phone support.
